One of our most significant achievements includes our involvement in the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant project, where we successfully carried out the towing of barges loaded with nuclear power plant cargo ranging between 1,000 to 2,000 DWT. The project involved six separate movements from Tuticorin to Kudankulam, each carrying cargo of different sizes, configurations, and weights.

The most challenging aspect of this project was passing through the Kudankulam breakwater, which is constructed in such a manner that vessels are required to make very steep and precise turns while towing barges with heavy cargo. Additionally, the passage is extremely narrow, leaving minimal margin for error. This demanded exceptional maneuvering skills, precise coordination, and thorough knowledge of local marine conditions.

Despite these challenges, KG Offshore successfully completed all towing operations without any delays, damages, or incidents, demonstrating our technical competence, operational discipline, and commitment to safety. The successful execution of this project further strengthened our standing as a trusted marine logistics partner for critical infrastructure projects.

Another notable project successfully completed by KG Offshore was the towing of a 1,500-ton crane barge using our tug Paradise for salvage operations. The project involved towing the crane barge from Mumbai to Dahej, where our tug remained in continuous operational support throughout the entire salvage activity.

Our responsibilities extended beyond simple towing, as we ensured the barge remained safely positioned and supported during all phases of the salvage operation. Upon successful completion of the salvage work, the crane barge was towed back from Dahej to Mumbai, completing the project efficiently and safely.

This project highlighted our ability to handle long-distance towing, heavy marine assets, and specialized operational support, all while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards and project timelines.
